For approximately six to seven months you will be wearing maternity clothes and you want to be assured that they are stylish and comfortable; above all they should be comfortable.

One of the most important pieces of maternity wear you will purchase will be your maternity bra. Yes, bras! You should have at several bras that fit comfortably and give your breasts support. You need to have proper support for your breasts or they will hurt and could even cause you to have back pain.

As your pregnancy progresses your breasts will become bigger, fuller and heavier in preparation for breast-feeding. Even if you are not choosing to breastfeed, your breasts will not know that until your doctor gives you a little pill after your baby's birth to stop milk production.

An important aspect of finding the correct bra is to make sure you are measured correctly for size. If you cannot do it for yourself there are many lingerie departments that have qualified people who can take care of this for you.

Once you determine what size and type bra you need to purchase you should move on to choosing the type and style of maternity clothes you will want to wear.

No longer is there only one type of clothing for you to purchase. In today's market you are not restricted to overalls and shirts with little bears and bunnies on them. You can choose from clothing that has the style of your everyday clothes but the stretchable comfort of maternity wear.

You may notice that many clothing companies are showing clothes that enhance being pregnant and not hide it. This allows you to be comfortable as well as up to date, you should not be embarrassed to be pregnant but revel in being pregnant.
